Before you start

  1. Set the fictional meter on a dry, level bench.
  2. Inspect the blue inlet cap. Stop if it is cracked; otherwise seat it flush by hand.
  3. Press and hold the green power key until the display lights.
  4. Wait for the screen to show READY before taking a reading.
Stop and tag the meter Do not continue if the cap is cracked, will not sit flush, the screen stays blank, or the meter shows CHECK INLET.
Ready result: the display reads READY and the inlet cap is secure.
