This interior design quotation template keeps the room outputs, service fee and furnishing planning note separate. It also records the scope of a review round and holds a newly requested bedroom open for its own estimate.

Name the rooms and the actual outputs
Chateau Concepts' fee guide describes fixed fees for defined room counts or deliverables and distinguishes design work from purchasing work. We use those scope distinctions here, without adopting its fee recommendations, construction advice or typical inclusions. How interior designers charge
The original fictional quote Q01 is design-only. Prepare the maintained quote in your native DOCX/PDF workflow and connect it to a room-output register:
| Room | Included design outputs | Illustrative service fee |
|---|---|---|
| R01: living room | One concept board and one furnishing selection list | USD 400 |
| R02: home office | One concept board and one furnishing selection list | USD 400 |
| Known design-service subtotal | Two defined rooms | USD 800 |
The fees are original illustrative amounts, not market rates. The outputs are planning deliverables, not furniture, a measured floor plan or a completed installation.
Inputs are client-supplied photos, room dimensions and preferences. Mark them supplied, not independently measured or verified. Actual photos, measurements and preferences need to be provided and reviewed; this article supplies no room design or copies of another practice's layouts.
Define one consolidated review round
Q01 includes one consolidated review round covering both rooms. That means the quote does not promise one separate round for R01 plus another for R02. Record the actual process for collecting and returning the combined feedback, including the confirmed timing and authorized reviewer.
Use the output register to track room ID, concept-board reference, selection-list reference, version, feedback reference and actual review status. Leave completion and approval fields blank until those events happen. A requested change beyond the confirmed review scope needs a separate scope decision, not an assumed free redesign.
Actual client/provider details, schedule, quotation validity, payment terms and approval route remain TO CONFIRM. The register is a planning record rather than an accepted agreement.
Keep the furnishing allowance in its own note
The client-stated USD 3,000 furnishing allowance is a planning ceiling. It is not a quoted goods subtotal, a design fee or an order budget already authorized for spending.
| Money field | What Q01 establishes |
|---|---|
| Design-service subtotal | USD 800 for R01/R02's stated outputs |
| Furnishing allowance | Client-stated USD 3,000 planning ceiling |
| Vendor goods quotations | Not supplied |
| Tax, freight and other fulfillment amounts | Not supplied |
| Purchasing responsibility/authorization | TO CONFIRM |
| Confirmed whole-project price | Unavailable |
Do not add USD 800 and USD 3,000 and label the result an accepted project total. The allowance does not prove that the selected goods will cost that amount, that all fulfillment costs fit within it or that the designer will purchase them.
Ask which costs the client intends the allowance to cover, what vendor quotations are required and who will own ordering and fulfillment. Keep the answers pending until supplied. Q01 excludes purchasing and installation from its current design-only scope; any future purchasing service needs its own defined work and price.
This packet does not provide structural, electrical, code, permit, construction or installation advice. It does not verify fit or safety from client-supplied dimensions.
Treat the bedroom as a new room-specific request
The client now asks to add R03: bedroom. Do not automatically apply another USD 400 merely because the first two rooms used that fee. The bedroom's intended outputs, supplied inputs, review implications and fee need a new decision.
Record a change request with these fields: original Q01 version; added room R03; requested concept/selection outputs; source inputs; effect on the consolidated review; proposed fee; schedule effect; actual approval. Leave the added-room fee and revised service subtotal unavailable until estimated and reviewed.
Use this unsent clarification:
Q01's known design-service subtotal is USD 800 for the living room and home office, each with a concept board and furnishing selection list, plus one consolidated review round. The USD 3,000 furnishing allowance is a separate client planning ceiling, not a goods quote. Please confirm the bedroom's requested outputs and review needs so its fee can be estimated separately. Purchasing and fulfillment responsibilities remain unconfirmed.
Preserve Q01 while the change is considered. If a revised quote is later approved, link it to the actual scope and fee decision rather than overwriting the original two-room basis.

Prepare an original US-English design-only interior quotation Q01 suitable for a native DOCX/PDF workflow, plus room-output register, furnishing planning note and added-room change form. Do not create room designs or claim an accepted agreement, measured plan, order or installation.
Fictional R01 living room and R02 home office each include one concept board and one furnishing selection list at illustrative USD 400 per room; known service subtotal USD 800. One consolidated review round covers both rooms, not one separate round per room. Actual client/provider details, outputs/version references, schedule, review process, validity, payment and approval route TO CONFIRM; actual completion/approval fields blank.
Client-stated furnishing allowance USD 3,000 is a planning ceiling, not quoted goods, service fee, spending authorization or promised whole-project price. Do not add 800+3000 as an accepted total. Vendor goods quotations, tax/freight, allowance coverage, ordering/fulfillment responsibility and purchasing authorization remain unknown. Current scope is design-only; purchasing/installation not included.
Inputs are client-supplied photos/dimensions/preferences, not measured or verified. No structural/electrical/code/permit/construction/installation/fit-safety advice. New R03 bedroom requires defined outputs/inputs/review implications and separate fee estimate; do not automatically reuse USD 400. Keep revised service subtotal unavailable until actual reviewed fee supplied. Include an unsent clarification and preserve original Q01/change versions. Native quote and source records authoritative; no actual send, purchase or persistent-edit claim.
Review the rooms beside the fee boundary
An optional prepared HTML review in NOS can place the two-room output register beside the service subtotal, allowance note and pending bedroom request. NOS supports saving and rendering HTML. Keep the native quotation and actual source/approval records authoritative; the review does not place orders or verify measurements.
Explore NOS to present the prepared scope review. Leave the client able to distinguish the design work being priced from furnishings that still need their own quotations and decisions.
