A settings form receives values that look empty in different ways. A truthiness inspector makes each decision visible, especially the surprising cases where an empty array or object passes a condition even though it contains no entries.
The finished inspection pairs each original value with a true or false interpretation. It shows that an empty array and an empty object are truthy, while zero, empty text, null, and false are falsy. That difference catches a common form mistake: a condition can accept an empty container even when the actual requirement is having at least one selected item.

Build the working example
const data = [0,"",null,false,"0",[],{}];
const result = (()=>{if(!Array.isArray(data))return 'Enter a value array';return data.map(value=>({value,truthy:Boolean(value)}));})();
console.log(result);
Boolean applies the same truthiness conversion used by conditional statements. Zero, empty text, null, and false produce false here. The text 0, empty array, and empty object produce true. The original values remain alongside their interpretation for comparison.
Boolean converts each sample using JavaScript's truthiness rules. The map operation creates one inspection record per input, retaining the original value beside its interpretation. The number 0 and the string 0 look related but produce different results: the number is falsy, while the nonempty string is truthy. Empty arrays and objects remain truthy because they are objects, not because they contain useful data. This is a separate concern from typeof, which labels a representation, and from nullish coalescing, which falls back only for null or undefined instead of replacing all values considered falsy.
The original input returns:

"truthy": false

Test the boundary that matters
Add an array containing one item and compare it with the empty array. Both receive truthy true. Add the string false and compare it with the Boolean false; their interpretations differ because nonempty text is truthy. An empty input array returns an empty inspection array rather than a row describing itself. To inspect an empty array as a value, put it inside an outer array, as the original sample does. That nesting distinction keeps the input list separate from each value being inspected.

Truthiness does not measure length or validate a format. An empty array is truthy, so check its length when the rule requires at least one item.
If the complete page stops before producing a result, compare it with the checks in HTML JavaScript not working.
Make one useful change
Add an array with one item and the string false. Compare those with their empty or Boolean counterparts before writing a field validation rule.
For the exercise, expect true for both the empty and nonempty array samples, then false for Boolean false and true for the string false. A real multiple choice rule should inspect array length after confirming the value is an array. A text rule might trim a string and inspect its length. Those explicit requirements answer the product's question; merely wrapping everything with Boolean does not validate whether a useful selection or meaningful text was supplied.
This inspector is useful when a team needs to agree which empty inputs should be accepted. Share the complete value comparison with NOS and include the actual harmless sample shapes used by the form. The returned labels make the language behavior visible, while the team can write separate field rules that describe what counts as a valid name, amount, or selection.
For the exact syntax and behavior, see MDN: truthy and falsy.
