A badge and a greeting share the same placeholder. Both should change when the selected guest changes.
The greeting and badge should both use the selected guest name. Starting with Hello NAME. Your badge says NAME., we will produce Hello Mina. Your badge says Mina. The example makes it easy to check that no literal placeholder remains.

Try the working result
Both NAME occurrences change in the returned text. Add another NAME to the message and update the preview: that occurrence changes too. The original text stays available, which is useful when the same template needs several different guest names.
Use Changed data for another preset, or edit the JSON and press Update preview. The controls use sample data; they do not contact a backend.

Follow the code
replaceAll returns a string with every literal NAME replaced by Mina.
replaceAll searches for every occurrence of the literal first argument and substitutes the second argument. With "NAME" as a string, there is no regex pattern to interpret. This is a useful distinction when the search text might contain punctuation such as a dot.
const data = "Hello NAME. Your badge says NAME.";
const result = data.replaceAll('NAME', 'Mina');
console.log(result);
The original sample returns:
"Hello Mina. Your badge says Mina."
Count the placeholders in the source, then count the guest names in the result. For this template they should match: two placeholders become two Mina labels.

Take the small version apart
The starter uses the same operation with a simpler layout. Choose Edit code to inspect its HTML and script, or Copy code to save the complete example as index.html. Open that file in your browser to run it without a framework. JSON inputs need double-quoted keys and strings.

Avoid the common mistake
A RegExp argument must use the global flag. Dollar patterns in replacement strings have special meaning; a callback can return literal replacement text.
Replacement strings still recognize special dollar patterns. For text that must be inserted literally, use data.replaceAll("NAME", () => guestName). The function returns the replacement text directly. If you pass a regular expression as the search argument instead, it must have the global g flag.
Change one rule, then check it
Use a callback to insert a guest name containing a dollar sign literally.
An empty message stays empty, and a message with no NAME is unchanged in content. Test a fictional guest name containing a dollar sign with the callback form, and confirm the resulting badge shows the intended characters. This is literal text replacement, not HTML escaping or template validation.

The MDN reference covers the full syntax and browser support. If your saved page does not run its script, the HTML and JavaScript guide helps check the file setup.
Put the example in someone else's hands
A complete badge message should be reviewed as a whole, with the greeting and repeated name visible together. Share the working preview when you want another person to try a long name or unusual punctuation before adopting the template.
Copy the complete HTML and use HTML to link to share the runnable file through NOS. Each visitor can try the browser-side example; this does not synchronize edits or add a shared database.
